A Guardia Civil, a national policeman, a future candidate to the Guardia Civil and a lifeguard saved the life of a young Swedish woman when she was drowning in the beach La Caleta de Portals Nous on Wednesday, August 16th.

YOU HAVE ALL OF OUR FULL PROGRAMS HERE!On the afternoon of that day, the two agents, who were off duty and without any relationship, were enjoying a day at the beach with friends, when at one point they observed a woman in a drunken state and alone, going for a swim. A few minutes later, the two officers saw the beach lifeguard running towards the young woman, who was floating on her back, motionless in the water. Immediately both officers arrived separately where the lifeguard and the injured woman were and between the three of them they brought her to the shore.
They checked that the young woman did not have a pulse nor was she breathing and, after asking for medical help, they started to do the cardiopulmonary resuscitation. At that moment a guy came up and said that he was studying to be a Guardia Civil, who participated in taking turns of resuscitation between the lifeguard and the agents. After more than four minutes the woman came back to consciousness, and slowly got her heartbeat and breathing back to normal.
Moments later the medical assistance came to the beach to the tourist who got her to be stable, who stayed at a hotel in the area of Calviá, they transferred her to the Hospital Universitario de Son Espases to make a valoration and a treatment.
The fast action of both of the agents and of the lifeguard, was a fundamental move for the recuperation of the constant vitals of the woman.
