"After a very intense year, I am very excited and proud to see how my club, in my homeland, is hosting a World Championship in my favorite class," declared Baltasar. "All the major international competitions I have attended were organized by very large clubs. It is a great pride to see how a small club like ours has achieved something so big after having made an unprecedented organizational and logistical effort to host this world-class event, with perfect organization. It is very difficult for an athlete to reach a World Championship, but I think it is even more difficult to organize for a club," noted the CNR sailor. "It is a historic milestone for all of us. We just need the wind to accompany us," he concluded.

The wind made its presence known in this first day of races, stabilizing at 4 PM, coming from the east with an intensity of between 8 and 10 knots, allowing three races for the two male groups, two races for the under-19s, and only one for the yellow group of under-17s. Unfortunately, no races could be held for the female groups.

"Organizing this junior world championship is a source of pride for the CNR and for Campos and contributes to increasing the visibility of the club and the municipality nationally and internationally," evaluates Pau Lladó, president of the CNR. "Considering there are 380 racers, plus their companions, all types of businesses in the municipality are benefiting from this World Championship, which positions Sa Ràpita as a global sailing reference," he adds.

This is a sporting event of unprecedented magnitude for the club, which has strongly committed in recent years to the IQFoil class. At this point, the figure of Nacho Baltasar stands out, a CNR sailor who became this year at the Paris Olympics the first athlete to represent the club at the Olympic Games. "Nacho has been part of the CNR family since he was little, he has grown up here and was trained in our school. It's been a while since he flew off to dedicate himself to his international projects, but let's not forget that his foundations are the result of the work he did at the club with his trainers," defends Nuri Bover, CNR Sailing Director.
