The Regattas of the Trofeo Restaurante Es Nàutic Conclude Successfully

After Saturday, March 22, marked by bad weather, all the planned races for the Optimist, Optimist D, Ilca 4, and Ilca 6 categories could be held on Sunday, March 23.

This Sunday, March 23, marked the end of the second weekend of competition for the Trofeo Restaurante Es Nàutic in the waters of the Bay of Portmany. If seven days earlier the windsurfing categories (Raceboard, Techno, and Windsurfer) had competed, now it was the turn of the sailors from the various Optimist and Ilca 4 and Ilca 6 categories.

The races, organized by the Club Nàutic Sant Antoni, began on Saturday for the Ilca class, as the bad weather prevented the Optimist races from starting. However, only two races could be held for the former. On Sunday, in contrast, the weather was good and, under a radiant sky, the Optimists faced four heats, and the Ilca 4 and 6 had three more, totaling five heats. Sailors from the three nautical clubs of the island participated: CN Ibiza, CN Santa Eulalia, and CNSA.

The podium in the Optimist Sub 16 category was conquered by the following athletes: 1st Lamis Casco (Club Náutico Ibiza), 2nd Rodrigo Gil (CNSA), and 3rd Sofía Marí-Mayans (CNSA). In the Optimist Sub 13 category, medals were won by 1st Giulio Planells (CNSA), 2nd Valentina Pomo (CNI), and 3rd Lluc Torres (CNI). In the Optimist Sub 11 category, the winning positions were occupied by 1st Flavia Planells (CNSA), 2nd Ibai de la Torre (CNSA), and 3rd Kedar Soler (CNSA). In the Optimist D category, the beginner’s category, the best classified were 1st Jiahong Chien (CNI), 2nd Michael Delogu (CNI), and Luka Iparraguirre (Club Náutico Santa Eulalia).

In the Ilca 4 category, the podium was occupied by 1st Marc Tur (CNI), 2nd Gabriela Pérez (CNSA), and 3rd Juan Quirante (CNSE), while in the Ilca 6 category the top spots were held by 1st Mateo Delgado (CNSE), 2nd Adrián Tempera (CNI), and 3rd Jaume Llorens (CNSA).
