STAY UP TO DATE OF WHAT WE DO AND RECEIVE OUR NEWSLETTERThe last day of the Gold Group finals was exciting due to the equality in the classification in which all the options were open and with no podium confirmed. Everything was open and the wind conditions that started at 15-16 knots in the first two races and ended up rising to 26 knots in the last one, caused the positions to dance until the last meter of the last race.
In the women's category, there was also a dance of positions throughout the championship. The Balearic Amalia Coll, who went from third to first place, became the Spanish women's champion and sixth overall. She was accompanied on the podium by Marta Mansito from the Canary Islands (RCN Gran Canaria) and third Laia Serena Mattos (CMSP-Can Pastilla).
The awards ceremony was led by the president of the Real Club de Regatas de Alicante, Miguel López Barbero; accompanied by the councillors of the Alicante City Council Antonio Gallego Gonzávez and Carlos de Juan; Carlos Torrado, president of the FVCV; the president of AECIO, Joaquín Valero; Montse Cárceles, institutional relations of the Provincial Association of hotels in Alicante; the dinghy sailing member of the RCRA, Antonio Ramón Borja and the director of the regatta, Núria Sánchez Nomdedeu.
