The Race Committee managed to complete three races for each class thanks to the wind remaining reasonably stable (between 65 and 90 degrees) throughout the day. The wind increased from 6 knots in the first race to 10 knots in the final race of the fourth day.
The sailor from Club Nàutic Sa Ràpita, Marga Perelló is still fighting for a place on the podium in the women's ILCA 6 class. The Mallorcan is in fifth position with 80 points. Poland's Lilly May Niezabitowskam leads the classification with absolute authority, with 33 points compared to the 66 of her immediate pursuer, Italy's Emma Mativi.
In the ILCA 7 class, Germany's Ole Scheweckendiek remains the leader, 11 points ahead of his main rival, France's Lorenzo Mayer. The best-placed Spaniard is Zsombor Denes, who finished the day in 24th place overall.
The competition resumes today, in what is the penultimate day of the championship. The forecast is for light northerly winds.
