The president of ADN Mediterráneo, Alfredo Fuster, welcomed the sailors associated with the organization and recalled how, just a year ago, he took the reins of the organization and from that moment, both he and his new board, have set a new course in the direction of ADN Mediterráneo betting, mainly, to give visibility to sailors and add more passionate to this great community, which is why he expressed his gratitude for attending this dinner and for being part of this great community of lovers of the sea and sailing.

During this event, Xisco Sampol, who has been a member of the board since the beginning, was also named honorary president of the organization. "This community of sailors will soon lose a member of its board of directors, as Xisco Sampol will be leaving of his own free will next month".

In order to achieve ADN's objective, he valued the effort made throughout this time in which they have been working on rescuing, classifying and logically ordering a lot of internal information, in addition to carrying out the renewal of the image of the entity, creating a more modern image and logo, a complete and accessible website has also been created with all the necessary information for sailors and a strong communication strategy has been developed to get the message of ADN Mediterráneo both to sailors and to the media and public administrations.

This support was demonstrated at a dinner attended by representatives of the public administration, including the manager of Ports IB, Jaume Carbonell; the president of the Association of Yacht Clubs of the Balearic Islands, Antoni Estades; president of Fanmed, Gabriel Dols; the coordinator of Maritime Rescue of the Balearic Islands, José Ramón Crepí; and the Head of the Naval Sector of the Balearic Islands, Javier Núñez de Prado, in addition to sailors and members of the entity.

As also marks the translation, every year a different yacht club is chosen to celebrate this traditional meeting and on this occasion, the place chosen has been the restaurant of the Club Marítimo San Antonio de la Playa (Can Pastilla), which until recently was run by an external company, but the club recovered its management. With this choice, ADN wants to show its support for this CMSAP initiative for the benefit of its members and sailors. On previous occasions, ADN has held its gala in the restaurants of clubs such as Club Nàutic S'Arenal, Club Nàutic Portitxol or Club Nàutic Cala Gamba, among others.

"During the last few years the organization has been very focused on environmental issues, as we, the sailors and shipowners, were in the spotlight and suffered a bit of media and administrative harassment when we were referred to as enemies of posidonia" recalled the president of ADN Mediterráneo, who also wanted to thank Gabriel Dols, former president of the organization and current president of ADN Mediterráneo, former president of the organization and current president of FANMED, the body in charge of dealing with the Government and other public administrations on all environmental issues affecting sailors, because thanks to the creation of this entity, ADN Mediterráneo can focus its efforts on other actions.

As part of these actions, Fuster remarked that they continue to work to defend the rights of sailors, to keep them informed of all the regulations that affect them, as well as continuing to raise awareness of environmental conservation. "This is our work so that sailors only have to worry about what matters, which is enjoying the sea, sailing and promoting meetings such as this annual dinner," said the president of ADN Mediterráneo.
