The sailors of the Club de Vela Puerto de Andratx triumph in the Wolrd Championship of Hansa 303

The sailors of the Club de Vela del Port de Andratx (CVPA) have obtained magnificent results in the class Hansa of Parasailing in the Mundial de Portimao in Portugal, which was celebrated between the 14th and the 21st of October, with the participation of a total of 70 sailors coming from 15 different countries.

During the championship, which was contested during six days, with regattas in very hard weather conditions, there were nine individual races and nine doubles.

The couple of the CVPA made by Pau Toni Homar and Isaías Iglesias have done a great job and have finished crowning themselves as champions of the world in parasailing. A great result that has been forged since the first day of competition when they took first place, a position they defended until the last day of this world championship.

For her part, the sailor Violeta del Reino (CVPA), in the women's Hansa 303 class, was runner-up in the world championship and her teammate, Jana Mestre, (CVPA) was fighting for third place, but in the eighth race a bad race made her lose third place, thus finishing fourth in the world championship.

At the end of the championship her coach, Juanjo Beltrán, highlighted that "in Portimao the sailors of the Club de Vela have achieved the best results in a world championship as a club. It is a historic merit for the whole team, because, although Violeta del Reino has the great record of having been world champion three times, in this difficult championship in Portimao all the sailors of the Club de Vela have been fighting to be among the top three, thus closing another magnificent season of our adapted sailing team".
