YOU HAVE ALL OF OUR FULL PROGRAMS HERE!This Saturday the fourth and last canoeing competition of 'L'Esport per a l'Edat Escolar' was held on the beach of s'Arenal in Sant Antoni, in which a total of 51 paddlers took part, 34 from Club Nàutic Sant Antoni (Es Nàutic) and 17 from Club Náutico Santa Eulalia. The competition had been planned to be held in Santa Eulària, but the swell conditions there forced a change of location.
This competition, organised by the Consell Insular d'Eivissa, the Delegación Insular de Piragüismo de Ibiza and the Club Nàutic Sant Antoni, made it possible to determine the final classifications in each category by adding the three best results obtained by each athlete. Thus, the team of fifteen finalists that will represent the island of Ibiza in the Balearic final, which will take place in the Menorcan bay of Fornells on the 18th of May, has been defined.
The Prebenjamines and Benjamines competed over a distance of 1,000 meters, while the Alevines competed over 2,000, the Infantiles over 3,000 and the Cadets over 5,000. The races were hotly contested, as in some of them the final classification of each category or the classification for the Ibiza team that will compete in the Balearic final was still at stake.
