The Club Nàutic Sant Antoni has already published the rules and calendar for participation in the 30th edition of the 'Setmana del Mar,' so all interested schools in Ibiza can begin preparing the projects they will present.
FOLLOW US ON OUR SOCIAL MEDIA PROFILES AND RECEIVE UPDATES FROM "PASSION FOR THE SEA"This year, with the 30th edition approaching, the students who pass the access phase will enjoy a special program of activities, which will be announced at the end of the year. The qualifying classrooms will begin their activities on January 13 and conclude on March 28, although the closing event and the celebration of a Day at the Sea will extend until April 16, the day the closing party will take place.
The sustainability protocol adopted last year will be maintained, and the call for participation is entirely digital, allowing schools to register their groups online without the need to print documents. This aims to reduce the carbon footprint of the Setmana del Mar and comply with the 2030 agenda and the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
Schools have until December 10 to submit their projects. As usual, they must accompany them with a digital documentary summary of the preparation process. A few days later, the jury members will select the 10 best projects online, announcing their decision on December 12. The remaining classrooms, up to a maximum of 15, will have the opportunity, between March 31 and April 8, to attend 'A Day at the Sea' as compensation for their effort and participation. Interested schools can clarify their doubts by calling the club at 971 340 645 (extension 3) or the mobile phone 660 763 121, from 9 AM to 8 PM, Monday to Friday.
Students who successfully pass the first phase will enjoy experiences at sea, with boat trips to Cala Salada or Cala Bassa, an excursion to Sa Conillera, a visit to Formentera through collaboration with Balearia, and multiple workshops on navigation, the environment, and other topics.
It is worth noting that the 'Setmana del Mar' is an environmental education and coexistence activity with the sea, aimed at students aged 10 and 11 years old, in fifth grade from schools across Ibiza. Each year, a total of 10 classrooms participate, and special days are also held for students with special educational needs, as well as the aforementioned 'A Day at the Sea.'
