The Club Nàutic Sant Antoni has already posted the bases and calendar for that all the schools of the island can participate in the XXIX ‘Setmana del Mar’ and can start to prepare their work.

DID YOU LIKE THIS CONTENT? WELL... YOU HAVE ALL OF OUR FULL PROGRAMS HERE!

In this edition it will start the 15th of January and will end the 12th of April, even though the ending and celebration of the Day of the Sea will be extended to the 19th of April. Like in past editions, it will count on with the celebration of a  special contest of Eivissapiens ‘Setmana del Mar’, where all the selected classes will be able to participate, which will be between the 22nd and 26th of April.

The call for proposals is completely digital and the centers can help you register the groups online without any need to print out documents. Moreover, they are working on new rules of sustainability which will be launched soon and will be put into practice whilst doing the activities. With this they intend to reduce the ‘Setmana del Mar’ footprint and comply with the 2030 Agenda and the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

The students that accomplish to overcome the first phase will enjoy the cohabitation at sea, with outings on a boat to Cala Salada or Cala Bassa, the excursion to sa Conillera, the visit to Formentera, through the collaboration with Balearia, and multiple workshops about navigation, environment and other subjects. As an innovation, the schools will have an excursion dedicated to know the bottom of the Bay of Portmany.

The schools have up to the 13th of December to present their projects. As per usual, they should be accompanied by a documentary summary of the elaboration process in digital format. A couple of days later, the members of the jury will choose the 10 best projects will be chosen telematically. The rest of the classrooms, up to a maximum of 15, will have the opportunity, in the months of April and May, to attend 'Un dia a la mar', in compensation for their effort and participation. Interested schools can clarify their doubts by calling the club on 971 340 645 (extension 3) or mobile phone 660 763 121, from 9am to 8pm, Monday to Friday.

It should be remembered that 'Setmana del Mar' is an environmental education and coexistence activity with the sea, aimed at pupils aged 10 and 11 years old, in the fifth year of primary school, from schools all over Ibiza. Each year a total of 10 classrooms take part and, in addition, special days are held for students with special educational needs, as well as the aforementioned 'Un dia a la mar'.
