Among the sailors representing the Spanish sailing team and competing in Portuguese waters for the world title are Balearic sailors Jagoba Huércanos, Karol Krupski, and Dani Giménez from Club de Vela Puerto de Andratx, Javier Seguí from Reial Club Nàutic Port de Pollença, Marc O’Connor from Club Nàutic Cala Gamba, and David Ponsetí from Club Nàutic Ciutadella.

After a first day of equipment measurements and inspections, the sailors had their first contact with the racecourse during a training test, enjoying favorable weather and a steady breeze. They also participated in the opening ceremony, which featured dancers and sailors celebrating with their national flags.

The first official race took place on Wednesday, July 3rd, when the yellow fleet flags of both categories were raised at 11:45. Despite strong winds and a high breeze, all fleets successfully completed two races.
