The Trofeo Cormorán -Vinyes Can Axartell has its winners

The sailors “Mowgli” (Classics), “Celeste di Mare” (RI Traditional Spirit), “Kresal” (RI Classics), “Lampo Rosso” (RI) and “Big Boy Nautica” (Flying Fifteen) have been the winners of the Trofeo Cormorán - Vinyes Can Axartell disputed at the REial Club Nàutic Port Pollença. The race was reunited between Friday and Saturday to more than half a hundred ships.

All the categories competed this Saturday in a race, but with double value, which consisted of a coastal crossing, starting and finishing in front of the Reial Club Nàutic Port de Pollença and whose halfway point was located on the islet of the Aucanada lighthouse, in the Bay of Alcudia, where a checkpoint was set up to award the points.

The “Mowgli” of Patrick Harris did not have a rival in the category of classic vessels in this Trofeo Cormorán - Vinyes Can Axartell. The wooden boat of RCNPP has been imposed in the three races disputed and has exceeded with clarity “Rossina di Mare” of Amador Magraner, which has been second, and the “Nerissa” of Leonardo García, that has taken third place.

The “Celeste di Mare” of Amador Magraner has confirmed the good results accomplished on Friday and has added two new midterm triumphs to be awarded the first place in the category of RI Espíritu de Tradición. In the podium he was accompanied of the category the “Salina Tres” of José Antonio Ruiz and the “Chula” of Joaquín Cobarro.

The great regatta that took place this Saturday, the “Kresal” of Andreu Cicerol has helped him to sign up for the victory of the category RI Classics. The crew of the Club Náutic of Can Picafort has exceeded by one point the local team “Capitán Api”, the Oceanis 350 of Ignasi Cabanelles. The “Marinette” of Jose Luis Cernuda has occupied the third position of the classification.

At the RI 0-4 has lived an emotional fight between the “Lampo Rosso” and the “Mestrak Fast” for the final triumph. The crew of the Cn Colònia de Sant Pere led by Joan Jofre has resulted the winner and has overcome by onne point the vessel of the RCN Palma, sponsored by Jaume Morell. The “Chica Txeca” of the menorcan Toni Pons has finished in third position.

As far as the Flying Fifteen monotype category is concerned, the triumph went to Pilar Casares and Rafa Benítez's "Big Boy Nautica", winners in three of the four races held. The “Speedy Gonzales" was second and "Feilgood" third in a podium dominated by teams from the Reial Club Nàutic Port de Pollença.
