The windsurfer from Club Nàutic Sant Antoni has shone in a competition that gathered 86 specialists from different parts of the world.
STAY UP TO DATE OF WHAT WE DO AND RECEIVE OUR NEWSLETTERWindsurfer Héctor Pérez del Álamo, from Club Nàutic Sant Antoni, has achieved the bronze medal in the Under-21 category at the Raceboard World Championship, which took place from September 17 to 21 at the Puerto Sherry marina (El Puerto de Santa María), organized by this club and the Andalusian Sailing Federation. Pérez del Álamo has fulfilled his goal of reaching the podium, where he was joined by Alejandro Selma and Arturo Arauz, who took gold and silver, respectively, both belonging to the Andalusian team.
A total of 86 sailors participated in the World Championship across all classes, representing twelve European countries, as well as Argentina, Canada, and Australia. All 15 planned races were held, with winds ranging from 6 to 32 knots. All categories showcased a high level of competition, featuring participants from various countries, including Olympic athletes. Héctor's next event will be the Spanish Championship in Xàbia, set for 2025.
