Next Wednesday, November 27, at 7:30 PM, a new edition of the discussion series at Club Nàutic Sant Antoni, 'Xerrades Essencials', will take place, featuring the presentation of the book 'A Walk Through Ses Salines', published by Balàfia Postals.
DID YOU LIKE THIS CONTENT? WELL... YOU HAVE ALL OF OUR FULL PROGRAMS HERE!This impressive volume is the most ambitious nature photography project ever undertaken in the Natural Park of Ses Salines. It compiles over 240 images taken by photographers Rafa Domínguez and Sebas Candela, over a period of ten years, during their almost daily walks through this landscape. Most of the images are dedicated to birds and have required many days of patience and waiting to capture. The book also includes other significant landscapes of the natural park and more animal species.
The talk will feature both authors of the book, as well as the publisher from Balàfia Postals, Neus Escandell. In addition to revealing the laborious process required to capture this stunning collection of photographs, the most significant images and those most valued by their creators will be projected. At the end of the event, Rafa Domínguez and Sebas Candela will also sign copies. The discussion will be moderated by journalist Xescu Prats.
This is the tenth meeting in this series of talks. Previous sessions have focused on the Club of the Argonauts (the first agency to operate in Sant Antoni), the historic llaüt El Bohemio, the artist saga of the Hormigo family, the figure of Pep de na Mossona (creator of the Hotel Portmany), the book Galiotes! A Forgotten Battle, the origins of the Pensión Catalina, the drought on the island, pilot Toni Vingut, and documentaries about the Civil War by José Luis Mir.
The series takes place in the social hall of Es Nàutic and highlights women and men with an interesting perspective on the evolution of Sant Antoni and Ibiza itself. This activity is open to the public on the island, with free access until full capacity is reached.
