Next Saturday, 18th November, the 2023-2024 canoeing season begins in the bay of Portmany, with the celebration of the first event of the XIII Copa Balear de Kayak de Mar, organised by the Club Nàutic Sant Antoni (CNSA) and the Federación Balear de Piragüismo (Balearic Canoeing Federation).

The children's race will be a 3,000 meter course and will start at 12 noon. The rest of the categories will start one hour later and will tackle a 10,000 meter course.
The CNSA, together with the Real Club Náutico de Palma, is one of the teams that brings the largest number of paddlers, with a total of 40, belonging to all categories, from children to veterans, male and female. The CNSA participants in the children's category are Rodrigo Díez-Canseco, Liam López, Nicolás Costa, Adrián Fernández, Lara Ribas, Laura Rubio, Odalis Posado and Gabriela Mendes. In cadet will be Facundo González, Roy Kikozashvili, Toni Llorens, Hugo Hawkins, Sigifredo Felipe, José Jiménez, Teo García, Joel Ortiz, Álvaro Díez-Canseco, Valentina Rodríguez, María Gallego, Iciar Solé, Carla Costa and Candela Madrigal. The juniors are Noel López, Álvaro Rubio, Raúl Prendes, Ilhan Velasco, Marc Boned, Tristán García, Alina Sala, Andrea Barrionuevo and Andrea Ribas. In under 23, Álex Manzanares, Josep Ramón and Joel Ribas. In senior, Daniel Sánchez and Toni Prats. And in veteran, Joan Ramón, Neus Mateu and José Luis González.
Safety and sustainability in the development of the races continues to be the top priority, as usual in the Sports Area of the CNSA. The prize-giving ceremony will take place at 3 p.m. in the Es Nàutic Sports Area. Prizes will be awarded in all categories, six for clubs, three for the absolute classification and another three for the master classification.
