The XIV Edition of the Naval Week Begins

This event, held annually since 2011, aims to promote the Culture of Safety and Defense and raise awareness of Spain's maritime dimension.

On Saturday, September 21, the XIV Edition of the Naval Week kicked off. With the slogan: “Spain. Its Maritime Dimension and the Navy,” it will take place until Saturday, the 28th of this month. During these days, Madrid residents will be able to participate in a series of activities and events designed to bring them closer to the work of the Navy and highlight the role played by its men and women, who constitute the most important element of the organization.

On September 21 and 22, there was an exhibition of material and demonstrations of the capabilities of the Marine Infantry Force, a hydrographic exhibition and demonstration, and family workshops at the Naval Museum. Additionally, on Sunday, the VIII Naval Week Race was held.

Throughout the week, academic events will take place, such as the Astronomical Navigation Seminar from September 23 to 27, organized by the Royal Institute and Observatory of the Navy, and the Strategy Seminar on September 23. Furthermore, on September 25 and 26, the Technical Days Navy - Defense Industry will be held.

As a grand finale, on the morning of Saturday, the 28th, a Flag Oath ceremony will be held for those citizens who have requested to participate in this solemn act.
