The trophy presentation ceremony marked the conclusion of the XXIX Illes Balears Clàssics Regatta. The Mayor of Palma, Jaime Martínez; the Maritime Captain of Palma, José Escalas; and the Navy's Delegate Admiral for Sailing, Jaime Rodríguez Toubes, were among the authorities participating in the awarding of prizes to the best crews of the competition.

"Argos," winner of the classics category, launched in 1964 with a design by Holman & Pye and owned by Bárbara Trilling, was the overall winner of the 29th edition of the Illes Balears Clàssics Regatta from Club de Mar Mallorca, after winning two of the three races in its group.

The Illes Balears Clàssics Women's Trophy was also awarded to the boat with the highest percentage of female crew, which this time went to "Bon temps," launched in 1926, owned by Santi Godo.

"Baruma of 1938" was awarded the Sea Legends Trophy for best representing the spirit of Classic Sailing. This could not be otherwise, as this sailboat has been in shipyards for no less than seven years undergoing a long and meticulous restoration that has managed to bring it back to its origins: the 1930s.

In his closing speech, the president of Club de Mar Mallorca, Borja de la Rosa, stated: "this time we have become the center of classic sailing in the Mediterranean for five days. This edition has reached a record number in registrations thanks to you all. Our club has established itself as an international meeting point for maritime heritage. We continue to enjoy the beauty of these wonderful boats every year, into which you invest so much enthusiasm and effort."

The competition gathered 40 classic and vintage boats from last Wednesday, August 14, until this Sunday, August 18.

In addition to Borja de la Rosa, José Cuart and Víctor Alonso-Cuevillas, both vice-presidents of Club de Mar Mallorca; José Luis Arrom, general manager; the representative of the Royal National Cruising Association, Diego Colón; the president of the Vintage Classic Yacht Club, Jonathan Greenwood; the delegate of the Royal Spanish Naval League, Lola Pujadas; and Inés Cabrer, representing the Balearic Sailing Federation and sponsor representatives, Mallorca Heritage, and Nautipaints Group, participated in the trophy presentation.
