The Club Nàutic Sa Ràpita will receive this weekend more than a hundred sailors from many nautical clubs from Mallorca and some from Menorca to particiàte in the Trofeo Repsol de Optimist.
FOLLOW US ON OUR SOCIAL MEDIA PROFILES AND RECEIVE UPDATES FROM "PASSION FOR THE SEA"It consists of a regatta of the class Optimist for the categories sub11, sub13 and Optimist D, in which, as the sport director of the CNR, Miki Bover, “the protagonists are the smallest at sea and as well on land”. Regarding the sub13, participation is excluded for those who will change category in 2024.
The event will be hosted during the whole weekend, on Saturday the 2nd and Sunday the 3rd of December, there will be a total of 6 races programmed. On Saturday when the races have finished, the sailors and their families will be able to enjoy a series of surprise activities, such as food, recreational and social activities for children and adults to have a great time and strengthen ties between them, "Something that does not usually happen because in many regattas, athletes travel directly to the host club with their coaches and there is no interaction with family and friends, this time we want participation in the regatta becomes a party for everyone".
On Sunday, after the last races, the prize-giving ceremony will take place at the club's facilities from 15:30 onwards. A total of 112 sailors are registered for this Trophy, of which 49 are in the U13, 40 in the U11 and 32 in the beginner class, Optimist D. The sailors represent all the clubs in Mallorca with representation in this class, as well as some from the CN Ciutadella.
