The Balearic Marine Cluster (BMC) held an informative session on January 29 at the headquarters of the Balearic Port Authority focused on active and planned grants and subsidies for 2025, aimed at promoting industrial modernization and innovation and competitiveness of the nautical sector in the Balearics.

YOU HAVE ALL OF OUR FULL PROGRAMS HERE!The event featured prominent institutional and business attendance and was inaugurated by Mr. José Javier Sanz, President of the Balearic Port Authority, who emphasized the importance of these initiatives in strengthening the industrial fabric, fostering innovation, and consolidating the Balearics as a benchmark in the international nautical sector.
Throughout the day, representatives from the following institutions presented the various funding lines available to companies in the sector.
- Industrial Modernization and Major Actions – Explained by Ingrid de la Fuente, Director General of Industry and Industrial Estates of the Government of the Balearic Islands, with a focus on infrastructure and digitalization.
- Internationalization Aids – Presented by José Antonio Caldés, Director General of Business, Self-Employed and Trade of the Government of the Balearic Islands, with strategies for the expansion of Balearic companies into global markets.
- Innovative Project Aids – Omar Beidas, Head of Innovation Services of the General Directorate of Innovation, explained the funding opportunities for technological and sustainability projects.
- Consultancy Checks – Silvia Delgado, Managing Director of the Balearic Regional Development Agency (ADR), detailed access to these funds for strategic and operational improvement of companies.
- Ports 4.0 – Toni Ginard, Director of the Balearic Port Authority, presented the funds aimed at the modernization and digitalization of port infrastructures.
- Training and Employment Aids – Mari Luz Moreno Romero, Director of the SOIB, outlined training and employment initiatives aimed at the nautical sector.
- Aid Processing Service – Pedro Suasi, Manager of the Balearic Marine Cluster, presented the cluster's new service, which will facilitate access to and management of these aids for its associates.
With the attendance of institutional representatives, companies, and associations from the sector, the day has helped identify key funding opportunities and strengthen public-private collaboration to ensure companies' access to these funds.
Thus, the Balearic Marine Cluster reaffirms its commitment to the development of the nautical sector in the Balearics, offering its associated companies specialized advice and a comprehensive service for processing aids and subsidies.
