Just a month and a half away from the Paris Games, Joma and the Spanish Olympic Committee (COE) have presented the official collection that Spanish athletes will wear during this important event.

This collaboration began in 2015 when Joma signed the agreement to become the official supplier of the Spanish Olympic team’s clothing. Since then, the Spanish brand has dressed the athletes in various international competitions, including the Rio 2016 and Tokyo 2020 Games. The Paris Games will be the third occasion on which Joma outfits the COE, reaffirming its commitment and support for Spanish sports.

The presentation event took place at the San Marcos Cultural Center, where Olympic athletes such as canoeists Marcus Cooper, Adrián del Río, and Paco Cubelos; judoka Niko Shera; taekwondo athletes Adrián Vicente, Javier Pérez Polo, and Adriana Cerezo; gymnasts Inés Bergua, Patricia Pérez, Salma Solaun, Mireia Martínez, and Ana Arnau; tennis player Sara Sorribes; sailor Támara Echegoyen; and climber Alberto Ginés showcased the collection's garments.

The new COE collection for the Paris Games reinvents the design in homage to the national colors. For the Olympic event, Spanish athletes will wear an outfit that fuses tradition with modernity, classic with avant-garde, a style reflected on high-performance fabrics. The carnation, the iconic national flower deeply rooted in Spanish folklore, serves as inspiration. Additionally, the colors of the flag, red and yellow, dominate the designs, appearing in a variety of gradient patterns featuring carnations and other details.

All products created by Joma for the COE collection for the Paris Games are equipped with the best technology in the sports market. As a brand increasingly committed to environmental care, Joma has used eco-friendly fabrics like recycled polyester and organic cotton throughout the collection, and applied dyes without chemical compounds. This has enabled each product to be labeled as “eco,” with special tags for the Award collection containing multifloral seeds inside.

Regarding the technologies, the clothing incorporates technical fabrics aimed at optimizing comfort and freedom of movement. For instance, some garments feature "cool feeling" fabric that wicks away sweat and provides a cooling sensation, along with other technologies such as laser-cut finishes, thermosealed seams, and Micro-Mesh System breathable panels. Additionally, Joma has customized three high-end footwear models for the COE. The Flexys, their flagship Lifestyle model, are made with flexible and durable leather, and a recycled rubber sole. Another example is the R.2000, the brand's most comfortable and versatile running shoes thanks to the Fly Reactive midsole. Finally, the Storm Viper model offers elite athletes the coveted comfort underfoot with its Reactive Ball technology.

The entire collection is divided into three lines: Parade, Award, and Village. The jewel of the collection is the parade outfits, designed specifically for the opening ceremony of the Paris Games. The Parade line includes a variety of garments that add elegance to the collection. The men's set consists of long trousers, a shirt, and a blazer, with an alternative option featuring a jacket. For women, Joma has designed a spectacular pleated midi skirt with a gradient, a contrasting belt, a buttoned-neck shirt, a jacket, and a bag. During the opening parade, Spanish Olympians will wear the Flexys model on their feet.

The Award line features a completely renewed design that combines contemporary sports fashion with functionality. The tracksuit, made from "wrinkled effect" fabric, ensures each garment is unique. This 3D effect is achieved through the application of eco-friendly dye in two colors, without pesticides. Stretching the fabric in areas requiring more freedom of movement turns the red into yellow. The entire set is made from 100% recycled polyester and includes openings for ventilation, along with the Micro-Mesh System technology for greater comfort in warm climates. The shirts, with different patterns for men and women, incorporate technical details such as thermosealed closures, "cool feeling" fabric, and the VTS ventilation system, which uses laser-cut perforations to ensure breathability.

The Village uniform is the most diverse in terms of garments, colors, and fabrics. Each delegation member will have more than forty pieces, including a raincoat, polo shirt, t-shirt, sweatshirt, long pants, shorts, and swimsuit. The predominant colors are red and yellow, combined with the carnation design and elegant golden details. Within this uniformity, there is a more formal line for travel and official events, and a more comfortable one for the athletes' stay in the Village.
