Nearly twenty thousand people gathered this weekend at the Port of Alcudia for the 19th Nautical Fair and the 18th Cuttlefish Gastronomic Festival, which once again showcased the town’s maritime roots with a program full of activities, as well as a wide cultural, nautical, and gastronomic offering.

Additionally, the fair has become the epicenter of maritime tradition, featuring twenty exhibiting companies—sixteen of them dedicated to nautical services—along with institutional stands and others from organizations related to the nautical sector.
Throughout the weekend, visitors were able to sample the wide culinary offerings from participating restaurants, learn about the products and services of various nautical businesses, enjoy concerts with DJs and live music, take part in workshops and children’s activities, or stroll through the artisan and food market.
On Friday, April 11, the opening ceremony of the gastronomic showcase and the inauguration of the fairgrounds took place with the fourth edition of the “Sonada de Corns.” The municipal corporation, led by Mayor Fina Linares and the councilor for fairs, Azahara Machado, conducted the official tour of the exhibition areas, joined by the Minister of Enterprise, Employment and Energy, Alejandro Sáenz de San Pedro; the Minister of Environment, Rural Affairs and Sports, Pedro Bestard; the Councilor of Mallorca, Tomeu Caldes; and the Member of Parliament, Isabel Borrás.
On Sunday, April 13, the Alcudia Town Hall hosted the presentation of the “A Lifetime Dedicated to the Sea” award. Retired fisherman Martín Andrade and the brothers José (Pep), Juan, and Cristóbal (Tòfol) Rebassa—founders of the company Transportes Marítimos Brisa, pioneers in organizing tourist boat trips—received this honor.
Lastly, a gathering of traditional "ball de bot" dance schools and a public dance performance brought the 19th Nautical Fair and the 18th Cuttlefish Gastronomic Festival of Port d'Alcudia to a close.
