The regatta has positioned itself as one of the most coveted Mediterranean events in just four years, thanks to its high competitive level, the relaxed nature of its onshore events, and undoubtedly the allure of the destination, spanning four days across the waters of Ibiza and Formentera. This year’s event includes the new option of attempting to break a prestigious record with an additional race crossing from Mallorca to Ibiza. The organization has set a 30-day window from August 21, allowing teams to choose the best day for their vessel to perform optimally.

The turquoise and crystal-clear seas of the Balearics are one of the event's major draws. Both Mallorca and Ibiza, and especially Formentera, are world-renowned for their clear waters and postcard-perfect beaches. These Mediterranean islands are home to a unique native plant, considered even a maritime treasure - posidonia - responsible for the unique color and extraordinary cleanliness of its waters.

Es Vedrà, S’Espalmador, and the Tagomago lighthouse are just some of the landscapes that participants of the Ibiza JoySail will enjoy, offering coastal and high sea routes between the Pityusic Islands with extraordinary views to the rhythm of fierce competition.

Ibiza hides untouched beaches and secluded coves, some accessible only by boat such as Cala Xarraca, Cala Albarca, or Cala d’en Serra. Just 11 miles from the white island lie Ses Illetes or the Levante beach in Formentera, considered “the last paradise in the Mediterranean” for its white sand and pristine surroundings.

While the waters in this area are unmatched, the islands also offer a plethora of onshore leisure and cultural activities, not to forget the cuisine, where local products and traditional flavors meet the most creative cooking.

September is undoubtedly the perfect companion for the Ibiza JoySail, already famous for its "family & friends" spirit and magical evenings that, during four days of end-of-season competition, bring together owners and crew after sunset in the privileged setting of Marina Ibiza.

The island still retains the charm of its golden years, which attracts craftsmen, painters, designers, photographers, musicians, and writers every year seeking inspiration to continue creating. A vibrant, bohemian, and sophisticated atmosphere, which becomes the perfect backdrop for this exclusive regatta.

In gastronomy, local products take center stage, and traditional flavors meet the most creative cooking. The Ibiza JoySail is the perfect opportunity to get a close look at some of the proposals from some of the island's best restaurants.

The iconic views of Dalt Vila from the regatta's Hospitality accompany the crews throughout the day, as it is at the ALFA pontoon of Marina Ibiza where the participating boats are moored, and from where the captain's briefing and the fun awards ceremony are held.

The old town of the city was declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1999 for its Renaissance walls, which have seen the passage of Phoenicians, Carthaginians, Romans, and Muslims; its labyrinths of narrow, romantic streets and its 13th-century cathedral, among many other reasons.

Moreover, the lesser-known interior of Ibiza also boasts charming small villages, some of which are part of the 'route of the white churches,' so named for the constructions that once served as refuges from pirate attacks.

In Formentera, Sant Francesc, Sant Ferran, or Pilar de la Mola are villages that still retain that island and hippie essence that invites an endless summer.

In recent years, Marina Ibiza has become a hub of exclusivity and luxury, and a reference among Mediterranean marinas. This ensures that quality and luxury are also guaranteed in this regatta.

In the central square of Marina Ibiza, also known as the 'golden mile' of Ibiza, are located brands such as Louis Vuitton, Loewe, Bulgari, Gucci, Dior, Loro Piana, Bottega Veneta, and Saint Laurent, which each year have capsule collections designed especially for Ibiza and impossible to acquire anywhere else in the world.
