One of the most traditional events of the Spanish nautical scene that has brought together this weekend a total of 80 boats from different Spanish yacht clubs, and even international.
The competition started on Friday with the dispute of three races, being the longest day, as the weather conditions allowed to sail the bay of Malaga without major problems. On Saturday, however, despite attempts to sail until after 16.00h, the strong gusts of wind made it impossible to develop the Trophy.
On Sunday, everything was still to be decided, and although the wind also caused a strong swell at certain times, causing numerous withdrawals during the competition, a good number of sailors did manage to complete two new races.
Leonardo Armas Lasso and Miguel Bethencourt Fuentes have been proclaimed champions of the Spanish Snipe Cup. In the Master category, Pablo Fresneda and Javier López (Club de Mar Almería) were the winners, followed by Fernando Rita and Alexandre Tinoco (CM Mahón) and, in third position, Damián Borrás and Sara Francheschi (CM Mahón).
