In the 470 mixed , Jordi Xammar and Marta Cardona dropped to sixth place after finishing fourth and scoring 16 points in the following race, which resulted in their elimination. The Catalan-Majorcan crew is just four points behind the new leaders, Portuguese Diogo Costa and Carolina Joao, and two points behind the third place on the provisional podium, occupied by Italians Giacomo Ferrari and Alessandra Dubbini. Silvia Mas and Alex Marsans were unable to sail at their best level and are sixteenth overall after this second day.

The large ILCA 7 fleet continues to be dominated by Briton Michael Beckett, although he is tied on points with second-place finisher Ethan McAullay of Australia. It was a particularly strong second day for Joel Rodríguez of the Canary Islands, who climbed three places in the standings with a second and a tenth place. He will compete in the first races of the final series from ninth place.

In  ILCA 6 , Belgian Emma Plasschaert remains in the lead after a puncture in the first race and another stage win, her third of the championship. Among the Spanish sailors, Adriana Castro had a good day and is in 42nd place, one place ahead of Ascención Roca and three ahead of Isabel Hernández.

The three heats contested by the 49ers today  caused a shakeup in the standings, with Germans Richard Schultheis and Fabian Rieger taking new leads, although they are now tied with second-place finishers Dominik Buksak and Adam Glogowski, from Poland. With a fifth and two eighth-place finishes in the day's sessions (although one of the eighth-place finishes was from the previous day), the crew of Mallorcan Conrad Konitzer and Alicante native Antonio Torrado is the highest-ranked Spanish team, in seventeenth place, while the Galician Wizner brothers are in twenty-fourth.

The women 's 49er FX skiff fleet saw a change of leaders after three races. Italians Sofia Giunchiglia and Giulia Schio took control with a 1-3-2 finish, but the podium remains very close. Among the Spanish crews, Galician Patricia Suárez and Mallorcan Melania Henke placed thirteenth with 11-4-7 times yesterday, while Canary Islanders Alicia Fras and Elena Barrio dropped to twenty-first place.

In the  men's iQFOiL , Frenchman Nicolas Goyard took the lead with five first-place finishes in today's heats, while Australian Grae Morris dropped to second. Mallorcan Nacho Baltasar posted scores of 5-11-9-3-5, placing him in nineteenth place overall. Fellow islander Bernat Tomàs was more consistent, scoring a third and four sevenths, moving up to seventeenth.

The women's iQFOiL class added five more sections to its tally, with Britain's Emma Wilson remaining at the top of the standings, now 12 points ahead of her closest competitor, China's Zheng Yan. Andalusian Pilar Lamadrid is in twenty-first place. Her sections were generally rather poor, but she did manage to score a win in one of the events.

In the men's Formula Kite, Singaporean Max Maeder continued his winning streak, racking up three more stage wins (adding to the four from the first day) and a second. The 2024 Paris Olympic champion, Austrian Valentin Bontus, slowed his pace slightly but managed to keep China's Qibin Huang under control. Alex Climent remains the top Spaniard in twenty-fourth place after posting a 10-16-7-7 split in today's heats.

In the women's Formula Kite category, Frenchwoman Lysa Caval broke the Chinese dominance and managed to place second, one point behind Asian Si Wang, who remains in the lead, and with two points ahead of fellow Asian Jingyue Chen.

In  Nacra 17 , after two more races, Chinese skippers Huancheng Zhao and Su Sha remain in the lead, but now with Italians Gianluigi Ugolini and Maria Giubilei tied on points. Canarians Tara Pacheco and Pablo García dropped a place in the standings and are now sixteenth, with scores of 17th and 18th on the second day's laps. Joan Cardona and Nicole Van der Velden were unable to compete today due to health problems with the Balearic skipper.

For the start of the final heats at the 54th Trofeo Princesa Sofía Mallorca by FERGUS Hotels, southeasterly winds of 10 to 15 knots are forecast for tomorrow, Wednesday.

The 54th Trofeo Princesa Sofía Mallorca by FERGUS Hotels is jointly organized by the Club Nàutic S'Arenal, the Club Marítimo San Antonio de la Playa, the Real Club Náutico de Palma, the Royal Spanish Sailing Federation, and the Balearic Sailing Federation, with the support of World Sailing, and co-financed by the Sustainable Tourism Tax fund of the Balearic Islands Government.
